Golf Course, Parks & Trails

We know you’re drawn to Black Mountain for its natural beauty. We are, too. Tragically in 2024, Hurricane Helene’s waters and winds caused significant damage to many natural areas in the Swannanoa Valley. The good news is most Town parks are open and clean-up elsewhere is ongoing. The Black Mountain Golf Course is open on the Back Nine! CLICK HERE for information.

Clean-up efforts are on-going throughout Western North Carolina state parks and trails. Refer to NC’s State Park interactive map to check the current status of a specific state park or trail. The Blue Ridge Parkway, which is overseen by the National Parks Service, is open in our region. Click to view an interactive map.
