Red, White and You… in Black Mountain for the 4th of July!

There’s nothing like spending the 4th of July with family and friends, and there’s no place like Black Mountain, North Carolina for celebrating together! Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, here’s our insider’s guide to filling your 4th of July weekend with good times and happy memories.

Fireworks!

Gather the kids, some folding chairs or picnic blankets, and come to the Black Mountain for its annual fireworks display! The free show will be held on Friday, July 4 starting at dusk (around 9:15pm).

The fireworks will once again be launched from behind the former Bi-Lo Grocery Store, located at 205 NC-9 in Black Mountain (behind Starbucks and The UPS Store). The display will be visible from many areas in the downtown area.

Parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the former Bi-Lo parking area, as well as public parking areas and street parking in downtown. Drivers, please use caution as there will likely be heavy foot traffic in downtown and in the area along NC-9 before and immediately after the show.

In the event of severe weather, cancelation announcements will be posted on the Town's website and social media pages.
