Take a musical journey through Deck the Trees
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Deck the Trees, and we’re already singing its praises! From December 5, 2025 through January 5, 2026, you’ll find 50+ creatively decorated trees popping up at local spots like Peri Social House, Tyson Furniture Company, Inc., and White Horse Black Mountain, among many others.
The theme this year is Christmas in Music and Song, so expect some inventive takes. Trees might look like musical instruments or riffs on holiday carols!
To participate, just take a stroll to tree locations during normal business hours, pick your favorites, and cast your vote. There will be donation boxes by the trees or a QR-code link for online votes. Each dollar counts as a vote, and you can vote for as many trees as you like. In fact, please do! Because what’s truly music to our ears is that Deck the Trees supports a great cause: 100% of the voting proceeds go to the Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry (SVCM) Fuel Fund, which provides heating assistance to neighbors who are in need. This festive fundraiser has raised over $463,000 since it began in 2011.
Deck the Trees Pro Tips
Because the usual host location, Monte Vista Hotel, is under renovation this winter, other local businesses like Peri Social House, Tyson Furniture, White Horse Black Mountain, and more will host Deck the Trees in 2025.
Don’t forget your camera! You’re sure to find wonderful selfie backdrops along the way.
A full list of locations and photos of the trees will be available online for those who can’t attend in person.
Deck the Trees has a small town holiday vibe that’s big on heart. So throw on your winter layers, stroll through the music-inspired displays, vote for your favorites, support a great cause, and be sure to pick up a treat at a host venue or businesses along the way.
