Get holly jolly this Christmas at White Horse in Black Mountain, NC
The holidays always feel extra special in Black Mountain, and the Third Annual Holly Jolly Holiday Market Series at White Horse Black Mountain has become a favorite local tradition. Held inside an historic music venue, the markets bring together neighbors, artists, and visitors to share good music, good company, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Each market features a mix of local makers offering handmade jewelry, artwork, baked goods, cozy knits, home décor, and other thoughtful gift ideas. Live local music fills the space, Santa stops by for photos, and the White Horse bar serves up festive drinks to keep spirits bright. It’s the kind of event where you’re just as likely to run into an old friend as you are to find the perfect gift.
This year’s markets carry special meaning. Many area artists and small businesses are still recovering from Hurricane Helene, which temporarily closed some of the places where they normally sell their work. The Holly Jolly Markets give these makers a way to reconnect with the community—and remind us all how creativity and kindness can lift a town back up.
White Horse is such a special venue, too. As a nonprofit, they're dedicated to providing high-quality, art-centered experiences while supporting artists and the community.
Providing amazing opportunities like Holly Jolly that create spaces for people to come together, shop local, and celebrate the arts has always been part of what makes Black Mountain shine. When you buy from a local artist, you’re helping a neighbor, supporting small business, and keeping the creative heart of our mountain town strong.
