Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10am-5pm

For nearly 30 years, the Old Depot Association has hosted Art by the Tracks, an annual art and crafts show that features over 50 local artists and live music! This juried fine art and crafts fair takes place in downtown Black Mountain along Sutton Avenue.

Proceeds raised during the show are donated by the Old Depot Association to Swannanoa Valley schools in support of their art programs. CLICK HERE for more info.

 

HowlOWeen Pet Parade & Costume Contest

Saturday, Oct. 25 starting at 3pm

The annual Black Mountain HowlOWeen Pet Parade & Costume Contest, presented by Bone-A-Fide Pet Boutique, returns for its 23rd year of tail-wagging fun!

This family-friendly parade routes through downtown Black Mountain so your pups can strut their stuff and show off their adorable costumes. Human costumes are encouraged, too.

The parade is free and open to all well-behaved pets. The $8 entry fee for the costume contest benefits a local animal rescue. Cash prizes and local gift certificates will be awarded after the parade in seven fun categories, from “Most Spooktacular” to “Creepin’ Cute.” CLICK HERE for more info.

 

Black Mountain Tailgate Market

Every Saturday through Nov. 22 from 9am-12 noon

At the Tailgate Market, you can shop for organic and sustainably grown produce, plants, cut flowers, herbs, locally raised meats, seafood, baked goods, juices, cheeses, and eggs. Additionally, the market offers an eclectic selection of handcrafted items including pottery, jewelry, apparel, home decor, and more. Kids are invited to participate in children’s activities, and your entire family can enjoy live music by local musicians! Bring a blanket or lawn chair so you can kick back and take in the show. No tricks, all treats!

Kick off your Halloween celebrations in Black Mountain Town Square. Dress up in your funkiest, funniest, or scariest costume, and visit the 20+ community organizations who will hosting games and handing out candy and toys. Free and open to all.
